quotes & song lyrics

Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it

"sing me something soft. sad and delicate. or loud and out of key. sing me anything. we're glad for what we've got. done with what we've lost. our whole lives laid out. right in front of us. sing like you think no one's listening."
-existentialism on prom night- straylight run

"we left our love in our summer skin"
-summer skin- death cab for cutie

"your face is so contagious, it wears announcements, it leaves me breathless, i wont forget this. i wont forget."
-walls- emery

"when i was younger i use to be wild. wild as an elephants child. i don't think i'll ever change. i think i am going to stay the same."
holiday- boys like girls

"tongues on the sockets of electric dreams. where the sewage of youth drowned the spark of my teens. and i knew that the lights of the city were too heavy for me. though i carry karats for everyone to see."
-golden- fall out boy

"and i'm sharing a drink with a memory, and a laugh with an empty seat. do you still look the same? will you still look at me the same? cause i know that i don't, i've gotten so old in these last few years. and i'd rather be fighting with you than sleeping here next to her. don't let me fall i'll break, what a mess i'd make. pathetic pieces on your floor, will cut your feet forever more. you're porcelain, such fragile skin, just let me hold you. i'll be gentle. i won't drop you this time i'll be careful."
-porcelain- cauterize

"please make me not so crazy. make me fall apart. make me think beautiful, unexpected thoughts. "
-i should mean more- jamisonparker

all of these quotes or song lyrics have touched my life in a very important and personal way throughout the years. there are hundreds more lyrics and hundreds more quotes but for now these will have to do. it would take me an eternity to explain just one of these let alone all of them. so i will simply have to let them speak for themselves. they all are a part of me and the story that makes me who i am. and for that i am thankful.
xoxo
